This is a remix of "destiny", since that was based on my previous interpretation of dave's terminal entry. Now that his son is involved, Dave does everything he can to stop it, reaching, begging - but he just can't quite reach it. It was ordained by powers above him.
My evil secret is using lots of different kinds of layers. For really wild colorful ones, I usually have a layer or two set to difference/divide, as it has the strongest effect. Glow dodge, add/add glow, and multiply are my other go-to's
