A few board games I think are worth checking out:

1: Root (seriously check out Leder Games, superb game design and aesthetics)

2: Dead of Winter (probably does the cooperativish style of game best, bonus points for being thematic for wintertime)

3: Forest Shuffle (super well done engine builder)
