It really is so, tho. People don't imagine what total collapse is gonna be like.. no medicine, no aid when ill or hurt, raiding gangs, violence, no water, no power, climate change burning your crops- I mean, try. But like, I will rather check out tbh. 😮‍💨

I wrote my post-apocalyptic series starting in the near future because I really, really wanted to make sure everyone was maximally emotionally fucked up.

Also the apocalypse happens because an incel gets blocked by his Japanese not-actually girlfriend. For realism.

I LOVE post-apocalyptic fiction! Especially when it's set in the time period right at the point of apocalypse &/or very shortly afterward. I find fascinating the myriad ways different people handle that unique situation/setting when our sense of complacency is forever irrevocably transformed.
