While she’s there, she dates some rich dude (who knows, probably Monoma or Shindo 😂). She’s got a huge heart so she falls head over heels and trusts that he loves her too. Only for him to dump her when he leaves to go to UA law school! 😭

Ochako, never one to give ups be desperate to prove herself- mostly to herself- not knowing that her ex represents her own feelings of inadequacy, of not fitting in or belonging - decides she’ll get him back and eventually gets accepted into UA.

But UA is even more prestigious and almost everyone there is a super legacy. And her ex is now engaged - someone gorgeous , rich, with a long line of politicians and lawyers and donors in her family- and everything Ochako knows she’ll never be.

She starts to feel overwhelmed- like she doesn’t belong and maybe it was a waste of time. Eventually she meets cranky TA Bakugo- of course inspired by the amazing leading man Emmet- he’s not nice, per se, but he’s hard on her in a way that makes her feel like maybe he thinks she belongs.
