I don’t understand why we keep letting Big Corp frame the conversations.
Big Corp: We have to cut in all the newspapers because we’re losing money hand over fist! This is not sustainable! Norwegians refuse to pay for journalism!
Its the same in politics where the message is that «things are going to shit because poor people exist» while people are poor because the rich are refusing to contribute to society.
I am probably just very naive but until a few years ago I had not realised that "cut employees and costs in a declining business just a bit faster than it would have "naturally" declined" can be a quite lucrative enterprise of managed decline
also Norwegian media, nobody covers this as they’re all afraid it will keep them out of a job.
