Ok when I take a photo of my eyes they look like they’re heterochromatic (two distinct colours) but when I look via a mirror it’s way more blended in so maybe they’re just hazel idk
the inner part is definitely hazel but the outer part almost appears to be gray/blue. it seems like the base color is probably hazel but maybe there’s something in your gene expression that causes it to muddle?
My eyes are like this too, In French that would count as "pers", which means blue-green, and is incidentally used to translate Athena’s "Glaukopis" epithet in Homeric texts
My eyes are kinda like this but with just blue/green and it’s always bothered me too
My edible just kicked in and I’m gonna be thinking about this all night
To me they look green but I could see it being like an illusion where technically there is more brown it's just spread out in such an intricate pattern that it mixes with the outer edge colors to look browner.
Hey Liv would you be okay releasing this image under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license so it can be uploaded to Wikipedia? The central heterochromia picture is not as good as this one. Thanks!
I have the exact same thing going on. I’ve always thought “blue with some hazel in the middle” but some recent research suggests that’s just called “hazel”?
I'd say green with a hazel ring. btw that coloration pattern is called central heterochromia which is pretty rare. I kinda of have it but it's much less distinct for me
