I've had well meaning folks show me this, esp since I make tutorials + accessible models and wanted to share my thoughts while also discussing an underlying issue in the larger creative sphere.
Disclaimer: IDK kaia personally, I just use the program a LOT lol (+)

ah that's..that's the creator of PNGTuber+ saying that they
"really really do not like "le anime vtuber" community and think they're weird" as a response to why they haven't updated the program in a hot minute
yeah thank god I switched programs lmao.

Dropping a *free* project you ultimately don't enjoy anymore, especially one (+)
While it might sting, PNG+ as a tool is not so different from generalized socmed; the latter wasn't made for us, but we made our space in it. BUT (+)
PNG+ and many similar resources (be it a program or socmed) is ultimately a tool; it's up to you, the user, (+)
No one forced you to use a free program.
This leads into a greater issue I've been noticing in vtuber spaces (+)
I don't think PNG+ is perfect, BUT (+)
Adding too many features, regardless of how cool it may be, bloats it, and imo, a lot of these are ultimately unhelpful for the average vtuber (+)
You and @tsurudraws.art with their tutorials have saved me a bunch of literal headaches.
Do you have a current passion project/ hyper focus?
I don't blame them for stepping back.
There's nothing wrong w dropping a project when it stops being fun/feels worth it. Especially since it's free. They deserve to move on to things that they feel more motivated to do.
