At one point she asked about his eating and I said he was very picky and told her what she eats, and she was like he needs meat, put it on his plate and don't give snacks. And I was like lady do you think I haven't tried introducing meat to him? I put it on his plate and he throws it off his plate.

The only meat he ever used to eat was stew beef. And that hasn't happened since he was like 18 months old. Not even a chicken nugget 🤣 I'm not overly concerned about his protein intake because he eats a lot of yogurt, cheese, and peanut butter

And like, I add peanut butter & chia to his oatmeal. His pancakes are made w buckwheat mix. He likes pizza, but we feed him a lot of chickpea crust pizza so that he's at least getting some nutrients. As a picky kid goes, we really try to keep it as balanced as possible 😅 and he takes a multivitamin

You're doing great! My son doesn't eat a lot of meat either. He's kinda into chicken sometimes but we rely on PB & cheese to get any protein in him.

Apparently lentils are a great source of protein! I learned this at the University museum i visited this past weekend. So maybe sneak in summer lentils for the kiddos!

I was always repulsed by meat, never wanted to eat it.

Pretty sure I would have been better off if I had not been forced to, but my parents weren't interested in learning about alternatives.

They said the same thing to my kiddo in kindergarten- I had to point out that she was having extreme emotional outbursts, and that’s actually a harder symptom of ADHD for most to deal with. I know it is for our family (all ADHD and a spritz of autism)
