I hate this, but it means that the Teamsters union chief choosing to support Trump was actually the smartest thing any labor leader has done this year. Teamsters didn’t get him elected, but a single union’s nebulous support kept him from trashing the NLRB out of spite.

Republicans are the party of the working class now. They’re old school blue collar Democrat protectionists. The next move is to steal unions away from Democrats. Trump’s choice makes perfect sense.
