The intro it came up with is pretty humdrum. The specific examples it highlighted however, were quite well done and informative. I had in mind specific references when I wrote the query and it found them. The citations highlight specific passages, which is invaluable 2/

The reasoning traces are quite interesting. When I told it to link to ARIA's recent investments in cell-type specific neurotech, it didn't know what ARIA was (must be an old base model): is it an Allen Institute program? Some Arc Institute thing? It took ~5 queries to figure it out, but it got it 3/

The conclusion, gap analysis and next steps are also pretty humdrum. There's something about how these models are trained, they can't quite find the empty space in an approach. But huge jump between this and Google's Deep Research 4/

I do think this is an incredibly valuable tool to get up to speed on topics outside of your direct expertise, well worth the sticker price; having citations + highlighted passages assuages much of the concern around hallucinations; and every once in a while it finds genuinely insightful things 5/
