We came here because i got sick and we couldn’t afford to live in California anymore. And we decided to look into how this society allows an entire city to drown.
You’re not getting it.
This is how. And it’s coming for you, even in Massachusetts.
Our politicians are standing up against Trvmp. They are trying to make room for the homeless. I used to live in Colorado when it was very anti-gay. I trust our politicians here.
Do I think it will be painless? Absolutely not. But I'd rather live here than any other state.
And by the way, we were run out of Colorado due to death threats against our family. Our kids were five and one at the time. I was home with the five-year-old when he had strep and someone tried to burn down our house.
I’m sorry, i am. i grew up bi and autistic where Matthew Shepard was murdered. It’s not a competition; i’m telling you that unless something changes, they *already have you*
They have us both. They have us all, currently.
That feeling of safety you have because you’re in Massachusetts is not real.
Oh, there's still lots of ways that he can get me. But the immediate relief of going from a place where 1/3 of the bumper stickers were anti-gay to having people welcome us… It was incredible.
When I had a two bedroom house, I was willing to take in refugees. But now I'm in a studio apartment for age 62 and over. I can no longer offer much. 🤷🏻♀️
And that some of us already ran, and we got screwed anyways. So will y’all. We cannot run from this. We have to beat it, or die trying. I’m sorry if that awareness hadn’t already sunk in, but i promise you i did not make these rules. I’m just risking my life to tell y’all what they are.
