Sounds like something worthy of investigation. Do you think they're trying to remove NHS availability and just concentrate on private? Having said that your other post makes it sound like they can't even do the private work.

Haven't needed to pull my own teeth - yet - but still waiting for work - £225 for 2 fillings,paid up front... Still waiting for the work to be carried out without the appointment being cancelled at the last moment since September

I used to get NHS appointments at my dentist until last autumn they informed me that I would need to agree to a payment plan to stay with them - I phoned around and couldn't get an NHS dentist in my area Dumfries and Galloway.

I live in small town, one dentist no NHS slots. So not on our doorstep but can find a bit further away.
