The thing that struck me the most was those testimonials and sermons should have been enough to bring Trump to repentance for the life he lived and continues to live. Unfortunately, I believe he's so evil he doesn't see the contrast between a good man and himself.

I briefly thought "this is the moment for the Holy Spirit to touch Trump to leave hate behind". But (I admit I am a believer), a human has to be open to change, and (yes, I'm judging here), Trump isn't open to anything but selfish self-love.

I think there was a coordinated effort among the speakers to draw a contrast between the two. Trump should have had the dignity to turn down the invitation. The Carter family are better people than me, I wouldn't have let him in the door.
