I just wish that my conversations with the Christians in my family were that friendly. They look at my sincere disbelief as an abandonment of my family and all they stand for. Why can't they just leave me alone then? Really, it has been years now. Quit it!
I suppose I am lucky, in that my family do no discuss religion or faith with me. And, though they are all believers themselves (as far as I know), they are rationally minded enough that religion does not tend to come up in their daily conversations. They tend to just keep their faith talk in church.
Sorry about venting there, Prof. I'll try to keep it at a minimum going forward. Just please keep fighting the good fight, and know I appreciate what you do.
