Everton fans, can you help me make sense of this please? McNeil has primarily played LW his entire career. Ndiaye's best season at Sheff Utd was as a Forward or Shadow Striker. Lindstrom's best seasons at Brondby and Frankfurt were as AM. At Napoli, Lindstrom was moved to wing and did terribly. 1/ - ThreadSky

So why is Dyche insisting on McNeil as AM, Ndiaye as LW, and Lindstrom as RW?! Does he look at past seasons/form and where players are most effective? Why is he so obtuse with attacking formations and positioning? 2/

Surely, looking at every player's best season, you'd start Ndiaye up front or at least SS, put Lindstrom in AM, McNeil LW and Harrison RW. But we haven't seen this formation at all this season. I just can't make sense of it!

Harrison managed 21 goals and 16 assists playing 3 PL seasons as a LW also. His attacking outputs have all dried up now Dyche has played him out of position on the RW.

Yup, I'd happily see Harrison on LW with McNeil on RW so he can cut in off his left foot. I just see no sense in playing Ndiaye and Lindstrom out wide where that's clearly not where they've had any success, and playing McNeil centrally where he has never played until this season.

I totally agree, I've been arguing with others on here telling me this. They have drank Dyche's cool aid that the manger brought in to improve us shouldn't be accountable for not improving us.
