On a rough calculation, Wycombe and Brum have each only played three games against other top ten rivals, which would probably explain the bias in the table. If you torture the data for long enough, it will always tell you what you want to hear.
Can only hope that that fact will impact their future progress more than Bolton.
I’ve got a feeling that Wycombe are this seasons Plymouth, in that everyone expects them to drop off, but they never do.
If Wycombe make it up you can add Matt Bloomfield to the list with John Mousinho and Des Buckingham who took one look at L1 and that was enough.
Meanwhile…
Its not perfect by any means, but hopefully the 'Evatt-hating-lynch-mob',will take this table into account, before they explode into their next load of vile & abusive unpleasantness, towards the manager,of OUR team.
Come on Bolton!
Plus, few of the wins were glorious or against top oppos. Add in regular disappointing games - Shrewsbury (0-2 HT), Villa kids, Birmingham, Walsall, Stockport - and it’s never felt like unstoppable momentum.

Bolton need to be in the top 4 imo before the fans will give Evatt more than game by game breathing space.
