Imho it is very hard to become good programmer if you havent worked with some legacy code. Only that way you will learn how things can get out of control
For sure! I think legacy code gives you a fun list of constraints. I think it’s also hard to get the same level of complexity unless your green field project runs for many years and you’re always building on it.
Otherwise, I think you get a lot of experience building CRUD backend for frontend apps
