Ducks are amazing if you have a pond or lake on your property as they're virtually predator-proof.

Otherwise with a shallow pool you will have a LOT of upkeep to keep things clean. Duck poop is much, much more squishy, frequent, and offensive than chicken poop. 😬

I used to sell chicken and duck eggs from an unmanned stall out the front of my house. When we removed the stall for a little while we had egg-crazed lunatics coming *into our house* demanding to know where the eggs had gone!
