Dryden lost to Stephane Dion for the leadership of the Liberal Party nearly 20 years ago. He came fifth, and was eliminated early. Considering those running at the time-- Dion, Ignatieff, Rae-- he'd have been a better choice.

Also easy to see why the Libs took 9 more years to win again.
