I have never used them. Have discouraged family and friends, as well.

Creepy but makes sense for their increasingly surveillance-driven biz model.

So glad I’ve avoided all “smart” home devices.

When you toss them you want to do a full reset and remove registration from your Amazon account. This is poorly documented. (Tossed ours 2 days ago)

We've never used them in our house. (Or Siri, or 'Hey Google')

I have a naïve trust in Apple’s guarantees on local Siri processing for my home automation, at least for now. Amazon only for shopping, sadly plus AP Video. My auxiliary Android phone plainly listens to me, so it’s generally far away.

Only smart home items I have are lights. No voice enabled devices. Strictly app controlled.

We thought that is what Amazon was already doing, hence we have never used it. It seems very Big Brother is Listening-ish.
