I travel all over for work and there’s a lot of malls that remained popular because they brought in things to keep it alive. The mall in Abilene moved the library in. It’s pretty awesome
I live in the Chicagoland area and we have pretty much one fully functional mall left, Woodfield(which is a super cool mall still). Every other one just faded out one tiny store after another, then the flagship stores all bailed. Some of them are still “open” but not much going on
