I wanted kids at 18 but my sensible partner felt we needed to have a life first & be settled. I came to realise he would not be the dad I wanted for my kids & I loved him more. & I just grew out of the desire

In my mid-50s I started working with kids & love it. But doesn't make me regret my choice

The children I work with stay in the same age range, then move elsewhere. They go home at the end of the day. I have no financial responsibility. I'm happy they grow up & move into the world as adults with no ties to me - never an empty nest.

What's not to like? 😃
