Oh uh in Yoshiki Takaya's "Bio Booster Guyver" several of the principal villain cast, the "Zoalords" exemplify this specific kind of biological armour/ornament - the elongated silhouette of the skull on Frieza here and the layered plating reminded me of some of them. I love yr work!
