if only there were some motivation for pundits to accept that sometimes, you can't write all 12 of the 12 or so possible opinion pieces you can write about a given political figure. sometimes you can only write a few. or in extreme cases... only one. the one everyone already knows and read in 2016

we are *16* days into the administration. Some tariffs and deportations have already happened, they're setting up a 30,000 person camp in Guantanamo, he's talking about razing Gaza, and they've started to illegally destroy substantial government infrastructure, not sure what you're on about.

I really think you're making the same mistake Ezra makes in the article. Trump wants to be a king, he's governing like one, and his "shoot first, ask questions later" approach means that legal challenges are often either impotent or too late to mitigate the damage.

when you say "face challenges" you are presumably saying it from a belief that the USA is a country of checks and balances, where court injunctions matter and its leaders are bound by the same set of laws as its citizens

there's lots of "legal challenges" to what trump and his admin and elon musk have been doing already. but their strategy of clogging up the court system with so much shit that it can't keep up, is clearly working. not to mention courts hesitant to tell him "no" lest he simply fire the judges, haha
