I reckon the BBC made requests about the setlist/ songs he should perform - and possibly from an ignorant place? Asking him to do covers or something more of the public can recognise. 2/6
? I must admit I am shockingly ignorant to Neil Young (love heart of gold but don’t know anything else) and chose to watch the Ting Tings instead in 2009 (a choice that I have heard we might face again in 2025?) 3/6
After Neil Young’s genius move not only to pull out but to publicly accuse the festival of being too corporate - I reckon Emily Eavis stood up to the BBC and threatened to withdraw completely which made them back down. And brought Neil back in the fold. 4/6
I read somewhere that Neil’s post was repeatedly taken down and reposted! Which is amazing. I reckon there was a bit of back and forth. Emily as the middle man goes to NY and works out what he wants the he takes down the post. 5/6

I must admit I wasn’t excited when i first heard the rumours but with this escapade I just know it’s going to be a fantastic show! 6/6
