Publishers are making themselves obsolete with this. If these teams can get to MVP/vertical slices + high wishlist why do they need a publisher at all? Investment funds with a smaller footprint and lower rev share are going to going to push them out of these spaces.

Most pubs don't even have marketing or porting in house.
If we can do it all and we've done it all anyway, why give away so much of the spoils in the final sprint?
but if you come in near the end and still want/expect traditional revshare splits, you are *exploiting* and *predating*
while i think that's always been a problem, there's a big difference between "not covering the first 10% of dev" and "not covering 90% of the development"
they've gone a bit batshit
The number of devs with pubs that get their own first party deals is way too high
