holy shit finally got an answer as to why my periods have been so terrible my whole life: adenomyosis! it's only taken nearly 20 years for a doctor to get me a scan and referral to gynaecology!!!!! luckily there seems to be a few avenues of treatment and i feel hopeful about this for the first time!
