Non-autistics have a habit of putting their feet in their mouth trying to support us because of clunky/outdated language. And while that can show a distance between them and the communities they claim to support, it’s still less violent than what others are saying. We can work with that to improve.

I think it was badly transcribed. What I heard was “Autistic kids and adults, who are loving contributors to our society” with an important comma in the middle, because he’s describing autists as loving contributors. Which they are! Economic productivity and contributing are two different things!
