Trump uses a basic psychological trick: confirmation bias. He lies all the time and people hear what they like and avoid the contradictions. It's why, generally speaking, lying is seen as being bad.
My God, I know that I'm a therapist, but don't you people have any common sense whatsoever? Can't you look and listen to a person and tell that such lying to them is commonplace, to this degree especially? My God.
