I work at a nature center and the wild blue jays will make red tailed and Cooper’s hawk noises to keep the birds and squirrels away from the feeder.

Oh that's awesome. The mimicry is always so damned entertaining!
Last summer we had a starling that PERFECTLY did a bald eagle. Every evening it perched in the same tall fir, at the tippy top, and just EAGLED IT'S HEART OUT!

Yeah, I noticed Blue Jays are quite good at mimicry. I had one mimic my phone jingle. Same bird mimicked my stereo. Must be trying to break out of the mold. Or he just likes me a lot.

Wow-that's neat--those Blue Jays have a very distinct sound, It's more like a squawk and if a couple of them get going at the same time they can be annoying. We have 4 that frequent our feeder and boy they sure do make a racket. But they are a beautiful bird.

I used to have one here that would mimic a Red-tailed hawk. When the songbirds figured out it wasn't one, and refused to leave the feeders, he switched to a Cooper's. Bravo, loud, blue bird!

Same here in CA, USA. Ours are actually scrub jays, but same talent. Mockingbird in same patch of sage scrub does a perfect Scrub Jay.
