CMS provides federal enforcement of the state inspections to nursing homes. It also deems hospitals “certified” to treat Medicare pts. If there are not enough CMS employees to manage these functions, quality and access will decline. It’s a way to break Medicare without actually “cutting” funding.

I went to one of Sen Kim's town halls last Saturday morning in (red) Ocean County, NJ, where I live. It was PACKED, with an overflow crowd listening on speakers outside. His presentation of his 3 goals was clear & succinct as were his answers to questions. Great job & I look forward to more.
