I'm 1/3 into the book, just before he's about to write Tomie.
I knew he originally wanted to write science fiction (hence why Hellstar Remina exists), but I didn't realize exactly how much he wanted to do sci-fi.
Horror was literally just an accident, but I'm glad for it.
