A decade ago, when I was first getting blackpilled on Tesla, I was a regular contributor to BloombergView, and loved the gig. Over the years it's been super depressing to see Bloomberg let its environmental values and naive efficient market orthodoxy turn it into a huge part of the Musk problem.

There has always been some good journalism on Musk happening at Bloomberg, but it's been wildly offset by some really shocking enabling of his blatant fraud as well by the outlet... on the journalism side, as much as the opinion side.

Mishal's interview gives me hope that this shameful era is over.

So, I'm not proud of this but I just checked and Tom Randall appears to have left Bloomberg late last year, around the same time Mishal Husain was hired.

Long time haters know that Randall was Musk's in-house propagandist at Bloomberg. Shocking levels of in the tank.

Maybe it is a new day at BBG?

I watch a lot of Bloomberg TV and they often platform Musk shills. I find it very disappointing. On some shows they also repeat a lot of Trump/Musk verbiage without question or context. Overall, I do enjoy Bloomberg’s TV and written journalism content.

I mean, I think anyone interviewing Musk could always do more to hold him accountable for his fractal shittyness... but the reality is that someone in her position has to walk a line that doesn't blow up all future access, and she walked it better than almost any other Musk interviewer so far.
