Does that mean systems might be better if they occasionally included a module to run or read at the end of it? Or is this more about having occasional examples of play added to pages in sections? Or even both?

I don't think there's any particular one size fits all solution, which left me being intentionally vague. A use case is all I ask. I want to know what the writer of the game envisioned play of the game to look like. That could be play examples, a module, whatever.

We just often encounter games where it feels like the writer thought the play model was obvious, presumably because they have been playing it, and they don't think about the new user experience. It's pretty vital.
