Something that gets lost in the Uk, is that reading the news to inform yourself, & trusting that information, is how it’s *supposed* to work. Reading the Telegraph or the Times is not supposed to make you worse informed about the issues of the day than you started off, but unfortunately it does.

Most people believe the last thing they read or heard that half impressed them and treat it like it’s their own opinion that they formed via deduction. It’s just how people are. That’s a huge part of why Britain is the way it is: we have the world’s most aggressively poisonous media outlets.
