I actually held off for a month to do my homework before writing things up to make sure it was of sufficient quality. With so much misinformation thrown out around Reactivate, I wanted to weed through it all to make sure any summary was as close to the full story as I could get.

More than anything, in light of all the stories of studio mismanagement in the game industry these days, I wanted to make sure that it conveyed the actual, human story of a pair of teams that wanted to make something great but kept getting dealt a bad hand. Hoping it comes across in the writing.

Oh- and for this specifically, that's pretty much my goal at this point too. There was very clearly a lot of passion and work that went into this and even if it'll never surface the way devs want it to- I would really like to give a glimpse into what they had in mind. It's a real shame.

I'm really glad it was useful to you :3 now that I think about it I didn't actually post my talk about the TFWiki article here, I keep forgetting to use BSky for my yap along with the actual images. Can I ask how you found it? It was fairly buried as I haven't drawn attention to it in ages

I think I came across it originally at some point around the time of the teaser trailer, can’t remember where. But when I was preparing to do the writeup, I remembered seeing it, did a search in my Google Drive, and sure enough, it was still in my history of previously viewed documents.

Huh, you're right. That must've been me accidentally backspacing on it while finding something, that thing hasn't been updated in 2 years. I had one cooking called "SUPER REDUX" which I started in preparation for trailer 2... then there was no trailer 2. I've started on a "definitive" one lately.

Well, even without those updates, it was certainly detailed enough that it nicely summarized everything up through the announcement, with extfdev filling things in after that. If you know of any glaring omissions, though, please feel free to let me know or add them yourself!

I'll have a read of it again but for now until I gather more information there's no *glaring* omissions that I can think of. Like, I have a lot of minute information about this game because I did fixate on it for 2 years, but for the average person the article will definitely suffice.

I know I gave it to someone on TFWiki like over a year ago as an example of the work I was doing because I wanted to write the article. I also posted on the talk page of the article last month and I think you were the one who responded. It's a very well done write-up!

If you wanna chat about it more, my discord should still be in the doc depending on which version you have- and otherwise we can talk here too. I think it's quite good for the available information people have but I could probably poke minor holes in it, the doc was written 2 years ago after all.
