Getting an iud fucked me UP I was on the couch with a heating pad for like a week and a half after (at the time it was the right choice for me but MAN it’s kinda fucked up how much pain we just take for the sake of birth control)
literally getting sterilization surgery was easier recovery than that
honest to god i think I'd rather get non-fatally and non-disablingly stabbed than have an iud put in again just so that i could get proper pain management. someone stab my damn uterus please
If you weren't aware, standard checkup takes a sample to look under a microscope for cancer or other things (the pap smear). It can be uncomfortable since you do be taking a sample. Like the COVID tests that go deep into the nose for treasures, except it's the vag.
I dunno if this says more about me or about gynecologists, but I feel very affirmed about my body and neovagina if my experience with this is basically the same as folks with factory standard vulvas 🤣
