A question - what made you follow your football team?
I'll start - my dad and grandad were United fans...I must have been about 11 and I put up a picture of Dwight Yorke for Villa...dad took it down and said your United. π€£ Signed for us later anyway so I was ahead of the game. ππ€£

Truly ahead of the game π€£πͺπ«‘
Now I quiz my daughter after hating it so much.
Love your story π₯°
I'm forever grateful for that.
He could have left Scotland out of it, though. π€£
My brother took me to my first Leicester City game in 1968, I was 7 and he was 11.
Been in love ever since. Season ticket holder and I have been to many away games as well.
Lots of lean times but I have now seen them win every domestic trophy ππβ½οΈπ¦
Loved our play off wins in the 90βs and the three League cup finals under Martin OβNeill.
The Premier League winning season was fantasy land, as was playing in the Champions League the next season.
The FA Cup Final win, was simply amazing to be at.
I was never gonna support anyone else.
Dad took me to Layer Road for the first time in 1966, aged 6:
Colchester 3 Oldham 2
Been suffering ever since!
At the time I just assumed England had always been the best team and I couldn't understand why my Dad and Grandad were getting so excited about it!
Sitting through the Uruguay game, aged 6, was quite an achievement!!
And no we didnβt win the league that year.
Maybe I should have asked about Bobby Charlton π
I'd wake up Saturday mornings wanting to watch cartoons and he'd be watching Manchester United. He'd sit me down beside him and tell me stories about them.
I grew up to love United and always will.
I'm getting a little choked up thinking about it π₯Ί
It's more than just a football club.
It's beautiful that you got to spread his ashes at Old Trafford, that's absolutely amazing!
Yeah that was very special, he'll have loved that. United were brilliant too with arranging it. ππ
Who was the first United player you idolised, Sarah?
I loved giggs, my bedroom was full of posters...I thought he was amazing as a kid.
Giggsy's a great choice - was there culturally ever any bad blood in supporting him locally when he started, seeing as he was Welsh?
Mine was Rooney :) simply couldn't put a foot wrong in my eyes
