nah yeah, I'm in the process of following folks who also moved over here through that chrome sky bridge thingy. after that I'll just turn off all notifs from twitter, delete it from my phone, get rid of my bookmark for it on my pc, then pretend it doesn't exist :)

Threads is kind of a different vibe. It pushes the "for you" feed by default which is mostly engagement-bait questions from random users. That said, the algorithm is smart because it's mostly gaming and comic book content for me. Most people I follow are using it as a Twitter replacement now.

i was kinda mad when i got locked out for a while last year (not a ban or anything, my account just glitched out so hard i literally couldn't see my timeline anymore) but that broke the habit of even bothering to check and i am having a MUCH better time online now
