I saw these dudes when I was 14 in the smallest Long Island venues ever.

Crack the Skye by Mastodon is it for me. The album helped me through a lot yada yada yada. This album is fucking sick though! Made me re-exam my approach to song writing and guitar technique. A lot of really memorable moments too both in life and on the record

I don't have a dramatic story to go along with this. I just think that a lot of my taste in music was shaped by first hearing Roulette Dares (The Haunt of) on a Pandora station when I was in high school. Probably the album I've listened to front to back the most.
