I’m sure that Brad is just a brainless workplace stooge and Wesker was banking on his cowardice (of abandoning his teammates) to set his dumb plan into motion.

I just want to know why Chris, Jill, and Barry didn’t beat Brad’s ass once they touched down in Raccoon City.

From what little we see of him later, I'm guessing he gave them a storm of apologies, testified along them to the horrors of the mansion and then was kind of brushed aside. Chris and Barry left, Jill turned inwards. He seems too eager to help Jill during the RC incident not like "thank God youre ok"

Ehhhhh.

I remain convinced he was either attacked by something and forced to take off, or Wesker secretly ordered him to do so while he was still unaware of the imminent threats to the team. Otherwise, I can't see why he'd come back at all; Irons could have spin-doctored any aftermath to the press

If he was complicit with Wesker/Umbrella, he wouldn't have been patrolling the area after his initial departure. And while, yes, he could have just been inept, he STILL came back. A LOT of the cowardice associated with Brad came from the novelization's unflattering depiction more than game canon.

Also, while it was cut from RE3, Brad WAS with the STARS after the Mansion incident when they confronted Irons with all the evidence they brought back. I don't see him on the Chief's side, and Chris and Jill are clearly not pissed with Brad there.

Maybe Brad was in the area waiting on Wesker? The reason for the Spencer mansion investigation was to salvage any data and collect battle data from STARS vs BOWs. Brad sounds shady to me dawg

Then why stick around to give Jill/Chris/ et all a ride, let alone drop a rocket launcher to them while rooting for them to kill the Tyrant? If he was under orders & Wesker was a no-show he’d bail, and if he really fled initially over a zombie dog, a whole ass tyrant should have sent him packing.

He had to be there regardless of who was on the roof, I imagine. He doesn’t know that the house would explode either. So he can leave them and they could survive as witnesses of his treachery or he can help them and play that out.

I just want to know why they didn’t pistol whip Brad.

Brad *was* a coward who fled the moment the mansion incident became clear, but he wasnt aware of Wesker's or Umbrella's involvement because he was a low ranking stooge, Brad sorta redeems himself by coming back at the end of RE1 with rocket launchers, considering the games make it clear

He isnt a fighter and possibly isnt even that experienced in combat im sure him working up the courage to even come back to lend a hand was enough for the STARS team to sort of forgive him since im sure they didnt expect him to do much for them to begin with

Also we see with Carlos that Umbrella, really really doesnt let low ranking grunts like Brad in on anything theyre doing, and even Carlos was likely considered more valuable to them than Brad ever was if he didnt know what Umbrella was doing, Brad definitely didnt
