All of that would be wonderful IF the visual language that is being portrayed matched what you are saying. So far Rand, Mat, and Moraine are all basically milling around waiting for the plot to happen. Nyneave and Egwene on the other hand were/are being tortured mentally and physically for plot.

That’s character development. The series has switched gender dynamics a bit so at this point the ladies are ahead of the guys in having their naïveté stripped from them. They also have more of their decisions driving the story. Even Egwene, in her current predicament has more of her choices 1/2

choices matter to the story being told. Mat isn’t offered any options and is stuck and rand is being manipulated between two ladies. Even in that horrible situation, Egwene as a character has more narrative weight than either guy. 2/2

Lorial(?) and that other guy (can't remember his name) are slaves and Perrin is on the run in the woods. Season 1 at least felt like everyone else equally in the shit as opposed to this season were it feels like the POC in this story are just getting fucked for kicks. It's not enjoyable to watch.

I understand that it looks that way right now for this part. It won’t always though. The fact that there are more POC main characters means that statistically more of them are gonna be suffering at any one time. I hope you can trust the story they want to tell.
