Hey, Leo, I've been meaning to ask, why do you resist, oppose, or are skeptical of AI? Elaborate your reservations, if you don't mind. Are you open to reconsideration or is it a done deal for you?

I just see it as more Wizard of Oz bs to be blunt. It's mixed with capitalist incentives and as Marx argued in Das Captital, the main characteristic, qualitatively, of the capitalist mode of production is a group of mystifications- I see "AI" as yet another of these. No use to me- high costs.
I don't mean to be a jerk, just trying to drill down. Do you specifically mean LLMs? Do you not see any value? What about expanding your capabilities and ability to effect the type of change you want to see in the world? Are you absolute in the belief that that's not real? Expound, plz.
You're not being a jerk, not at all, I'm engaging on content. It's not that it's wholly fake- it's a vehicle for corporate accumulation with no benefit to the user and it is horribly environmentally costly (externalized costs)- costs not accounted for. Ref. Pigou, Qrtrly J Ec., 1913, re trains.
