I understand the impulse, but—it's a really bad impulse. Old tweets don't drive traffic to Twitter. They might as well not exist to the algorithm. But they're information, history and culture, and it's good for those things to be preserved wherever possible. Elon will not be sad that they're gone.

By this afternoon, almost all of my tweets will be deleted. (I opted against trying to bring them here, just felt cleaner to light a match and burn the whole thing down.)
I'm keeping the account open just to preserve the handle, but I've unfollowed everyone and will lock it when it's done.
