Was falling asleep at my desk, so called it a night. Was falling asleep in the shower. Crawl into bed, put my phone on the nightstand, settle into the covers...wide awake. Every time.

Until I was well into my 30s, I suffered from crippling insomnia. The strategy I used was to put on spoken audio I knew REALLY well to act as active white noise. I could pay attention to it without needing to think about it. In my case, it was the complete works of George Carlin, but you do you.
