Nah, Nids create bioforms from scratch. Though I have a theory. Tardigrades are notorious survivors. We speak extreme temperatures, absence of water and air, radiation. They must have grown bigger trying to survive hive-worlds...which makes you think how polluted those are

I also have an unreasonable fondness of the old-style RT era sentinel. But no, seriously, love to see more variants of walkers and, well, vehicles in general. as with Guard regiemnts, its a shame things have gotten so streamlined there in fiction.
