Playing Baldur's gate 3, is everybody rude and brattish in the game? So far every character I've met is a chippy, annoying prat. Any heroes or decent people?

I was a player of the original PC game. Very good. Characters unique, dialogue believably mystic, game play as perfect as humanly achievable. One of the first great strategy games...
Baldur's gate 2, also incredibly well thought out... the third excellent.
After the final 'original' extension pack, and transition to console, it just degraded in quality and sophistication from year to year, and adapted to appeal to the pew pew generation.
I felt similar. Only exception is Kharlak. So I never even finished Act 1. Zero desire to waste time on a CRPG that's saturated with annoying or boring party members.

It's nothing like the original whatsoever, but the game play and graphics will be superior (faster and seamless).
