I really like this. This ties into the Charma dynamic so much actually. Garma HAS to be a man of House Zabi. He does what men in House Zabi are supposed to do, which is forget about being bi-curious in college, and Char does not like this.
Yas's Z'Gok is a lot more menacing than I'd expected, I even double checked with my own just to make sure I wasn't going crazy and it was always this... broad-shouldered?
You know thinking over what I know and understand about Char between this and “I’ve never betrayed anyone in my entire life” I could believe it if someone said that he genuinely believes either statement in some convoluted manner.
I've always interpreted the betrayal line as totally earnest - he's lying to himself as much as anyone else, protecting his conscience by insisting Garma (really anyone he's ever wronged) was always his enemy and he doesn't need to feel bad about it
