I feel the same way about PS+.
Loads of games I wouldn't have bought but have thoroughly enjoyed, especially some of the more obscure indy games.

Exactly that. A no risk tryout, and I've found a game with good combat, nice looking, and just a pretty chill world to explore; with systems you'd want in an RPG, but that are not prohibitively deep for the gamer dad to get involved with. ✅

I'd suggest Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Proper got it's hooks into me.

Might seem prohibitively deep but you can kinda make it what you want. As I've said before, Skyrim all grown up.
