It's a dilemma in that I'd love the women's team to get more focus/budget etc but if that happened the club would probably start trying to manage it as well
The women's team are going perfectly well and I don't really want them involved tbh. As much as it is great they were put under the clubs umbrella I have been slightly disappointed with how they have marketed the women's team and are missing tricks on match day experience.
There were 200 or so there at Oxford today. We already get more than that at the Mem and with a decent push we could honestly outdo most of the National League Prem sides. But hey.
Completely agree. I believe so far I have missed one home game but since the start of the season we have had one game moved, one game the club shop was not open, bar facilities not being open since the first game, Advertising is very sparse on the clubs main account. Missing a massive opportunity
We sign players. Who are they? What are their backgrounds? I Google frantically because nobody thinks it would be good to tell us. The fixture list changes but nothing announced until the week running up to the games.
It's maddening because the team is magic and should be a huge marketing asset
Honestly, someone needs to wrap their head around the fact that most men's team supporters are 50+ miserable old blokes who hate fun and not the target market. There is, however, a whole city out there to be impressed
